Rshiny app for exploring coffee production

Click here for the app: if loading takes to long.

What does this app do?

This app is the result of three blog posts on coffee and allows you to see more of the data than the few pictures. You can compare coffee consumption for one country through time, or with other countries in the same year. You can also compare production and export of the coffee producing countries.

Next to the map, you can view this same data in table and graph format. The graph format gives you additional options for viewing data.

The application is built with rshiny in R.

What is Rshiny?

Rshiny is a great tool for sharing a lot of data. Shiny is package in R that makes it easy to build interactive web apps straight from R. The dashboard is a good way to make insights out of all the data.

I won’t go into the details of how to build an app, there’s enough information online to cover that (start here).
